i doubt you cant post info, it is done all the time. What they did object to was posting of pictures, which are copyright material (although, even that is doubtful since pictures were from lexus magazine).
mink92890 02-05-06, 08:32 AM Do you have any rear shots? Does it look the same?

Gojirra99 02-05-06, 08:39 AM I think the RX330 looks nice for a SUV, but I' m never fond of the clear tail lights I hope they change it .
BrickHead 02-05-06, 09:18 AM I saw the ad in C&D too. It mentioned 270HP.
GS3rdwow 02-05-06, 09:23 AM Its the same as the current one. Its got some new stuff though that they dont offer right now, i dont think.
GS3rdwow 02-05-06, 09:30 AM Horsepower 270
new noise and vibration reduction components such as an acoustic glass windsiled and extra sound insulation
gen 5 nav system
9inch optional screen for rear seat entertainment system.
Faraaz23 02-05-06, 11:25 AM Ok, so now that the new RX350 is going to have 270hp.... whats the advantage of having the RX400h? I'm guessing they will up the power on that as well? With no power advantage, they will be asking people to buy this vehicle because its cleaner burning and only gets a few mpg better....
mink92890 02-05-06, 11:36 AM Will the RX400h become the RX450h...if it is my brand new 400h :(

i doubt it... RX400h will still be faster than RX350, just not as much as before. And now it will save more gas over RX350... Also, the price difference will be less.....

IIRC the new 3.5 gets better gas mileage than the old 3.3
CK6Speed 02-05-06, 11:28 PM IIRC the new 3.5 gets better gas mileage than the old 3.3
If that is the case we should expect about 24-25 real world mixed city/hywy MPG for the RX350. I think performance will be roughtly the same between the RX350 and RX400H. Any difference will be minimal.

mmarshall 02-06-06, 05:47 AM Here's a picture of the RX350 from a Ukranian Lexus site. Doesn't look much different from the present one.

jfelbab 02-06-06, 06:44 AM Roof racks have been eliminated? At least in those two photos.

http://www.lexus-ukraine.com/cars/rx/specifications/Good find, mmarshall. I hope the acceleration time of 0-100km/h in 7.8s is just a conservative estimate. With the new 3.5L the RX350 ought to do better than that. Something < 7.5s sounds more like it IMO.

jrock65 02-06-06, 11:04 AM The R&T ad confirms that the 270 hp rating was achieved with premium unleaded fuel.
The RAV4 V6 is rated at 269 hp with regular unleaded.
So, premium unleaded only gets you 1 more horsepower?

http://toyota.jp/harrier/dynamism/engin/image/g01.gifThanks for the heads up, flip. The torque curve of the 2GR-FE kinda disappoints compared to the much flatter one from the 2GR-FSE. I always thought the flat torque curve from the 2GR-FSE is a result from the Dual VVT-i, which the 2GR-FE also has, and not from the direct fuel injection.:dunno:

dont let the scale of things confuse you, it has 90% of torque from 2,000 rpm.... It looks like it has 80% from 1,000 rpm...
