Hello,
I went to the Chicago Auto Show the other day. I was not as umpressed with the new GS as I thought I would have. The new ES is really nice, and I loved the new LS 460L.

Hello,
All the cars that you could take the **** off were already removed. I believe the mfg does it. They have learned their lesson from pervoius years. If they were to leave it in, they would get stolen for sure.
I've never been to large major auto show like this. The public is actually allowed to get in and fondle these cars? I always assumed it was a look but don't touch scenario.

My experience at auto shows is that some manufacturers do and some don't. Some cars also have the radio and climate-control ***** removed, not just shift *****.
It was nice that the LS460 was at the show. We didn't get to see it here in DC in January because Lexus carted both samples from the Detroit Show off to the Geneva show which was concurrently running at the same time.
I plan to do a review of the LS460 when it becomes available....the interest in this car among CL members seems to be enormous. In the meantime, I'm off this morning to do a review of the Acura RL...an obvious competitor to the GS300 AWD and Infiniti M35 AWD ( which I've both reviewed ) and a much-discussed car here on CL. I'll post the review when I get back.

I went on Thursday. Here's a picture of the silver ES that was there. I have to say that this is a nice, nice car. The interior was incredibly luxurious and the exterior was much sportier than past generation ES's. The picture is a little blurry, but you'll get the idea. This one also had the glass roof. There are two moonroofs inside the car. The one in the back seat is fixed and the one in the front seat opens.
