Hey does anyone remember that article written about Toyota's manufacturing philosophy when they would send their managers to work on the floor and commit to improvements by making them do it? It's kind of important that I track that article down.

there are whole BOOKS on toyota's manufacturing philo. could you be a litl bit more specific?
Sorry and yes there are tons (hell ppl make a living writing about lean manufacturing). It was an article posted here on Clublexus (very long as well) describing how a rookie manager has to be on the shop floor before he is allowed to take rein. It was a very good article describing how they would change machinery around; mock up things in the shop, etc. I really wish I had saved it.
