Luxury Institute Survey: Most Prestigious Brands 1) Porsche 2) Benz 3) Lexus
Lexus moves up from fourth, displacing BMW to become third most prestigious brand in the US, according to a survey of 500 high-income buyers nationwide. Lexus was also the #1 most recommended brand of luxury consumers, and quality was the key factor.
I don't think many people here truly understand how BIG of a deal this is. Its almost IMPOSSIBLE for a very new company to make as huge an impact as Lexus has.
This is a very big deal and a VERY positive sign for Lexus, that it is viewed as a TRUE luxury brand.
Wow Lexus has come a long way in such a short period of time and will continue to improve. If Lexus will step up in the handling department, they will have the ultimate car. thumbup:
To many people, MB is still prestigious. After the blatant copy of the 7's interior from the S class-their own flagship, I think MB lost their originality
I refuse to even look at the new S class now. There's no design like the w220s.
Even with Bangle's controversial design (highly subjective), it is like no other and thank goodness they still have the driving dynamics.
Since Lexus' is on the path of "kaizen" or "continuous improvement", it's only proper for them to do so right from the start. Just look at their slogan...they went from "The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection" to... "The Passionate Pursuit of Perfection"
It's their mission from the beginning and they're headed to what they've set forth to be...#1.
I for one wish they went back to 'relentless' but in the UK it's simply 'The Pursuit of Perfection' and that to me is what matters.
More and more, Lexus cars are 'perfect' for the mission they're intended to do. Just need to add some performance, and styling. Wait a minute, there's already improvement on that front...
