A few horses more

When the new Mercedes CL will make its debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show, AMG will show their interpretation of the new coupe, the CL 63 AMG, equipped with all kinds of luxury features plus the 6.3-litre V8 returning 514 bhp – the same engine used for the CLS 63 which debuted just after the launch of the standard CLS two years ago.

But even for the four-door CLS there’s yet another model in the pipeline: Like the S-class, the 4-door coupe will soon be available as the CLS 65, powered by the same 612-bhp 6.0 liter bi-turbo V12 used in the S Class and SL-Class.

And like all the top AMGs, it’ll be getting the Performance optic with the new bumper and the additional air-intakes in front of the wheel arches.

We reckon that the CL will be available in 65 AMG-guise, too – maybe in summer 2007

I don't really think I'd call the pictures of the CLS "spy" photos... it's missing badges and that's about it :p Looks good though. That CL's got some growing to do. I hated the CLS at first, now I can't get enough of it. I'm really hoping this new CL is like that as well, but I'm sorta doubting it :sad:

I remember seeing those CLS pics last year. I believe it turned out being part of an advanced Sport Package for the CLS55 AMG, but only for Europe.

Maybe they still have plans for a CLS65. Cant put anything past those guys at AMG. They'll stuff those huge engines in anything. :thumbup:

I think I'll ask for that CLS65 as a company car :D

I think they're only on the 65 AMG V12 models, not the 55/63 V8 AMG's, although you get those bumpers too if you opt for the sports package for the V8 AMG's . . .

The power wars continue. Tag... and Mercedes is it. Those new motors are insane :eek2: Won't be suprised if BMW comes out with a 650 hp monster in a few years.

I believe it allows extra air flow to help cool the front brakes

wow they are going to have the cls65 huh? i guess the car is selling very well...... very interesting, since the car is based on the e class platform, and i don't think we will see e65

seems like the car is pretty much done, but too bad it looks like it's losing the great style of the current one
