OK sorry, another TV commercial question. Apparently the catch phrase for the new Honda Fit is "The Fit is go". Is that even a proper English sentence? Or are they trying to be funny by saying an "Engrish" phrase in a robot voice, sort of like "All your base are belong to us"?
To me, "The Fit is go" doesn't mean a whole lot, but it does stick in my head, which maybe is the point... Oh well, I still don't want one.
I think they are pretty cool commercials. I for one think the FIT is a better car than the cheap *** yaris. Sorry but I just drove both the other day the FIT is a much better build quality and feels more refined. The yaris on the other hand felt sort of flimsy on the inside they took the echo and just reworked it a bit from what I can get.
I actually like "The Fit is go" slogan. It's very funny and catchy.
Being in the entry level range, it's not a "serious" car and can be a bit playful in marketing.
Other cars that try this fail in effectiveness, like the Mercedes GL. Their new commercials
look like they were done by a kid out of college. Where is the luxury and sophistication
elements that Mercedes is know for?

The thing is, the GL ads are cheesy without actually being funny. The burning Pylon/cone is really corny.
