This forum IS a good idea. I was just wondering if anyone living in the Atl-GA area was going to the auto show at the Georgia World Congress Center. A few of my friends and I are planning on going on Friday. Just wondering.

My last class on Friday ends at 12:50, and then my roomate and I are going to leave as soon as possible from Macon directly towards the show. We have another friend metting us there too. We were trying to get him to drive down here and stay Thursday night, but, stuff happens and his girl may come too, and our dorm is too small. All kinds of variables.

Anywho, it will probably take us about an hour and a half to get there (depending on traffic, usually light around that time). We are going to try and stay there a while in order to miss 5 o'clock traffic. Probably won't leave until dark. BTW, what do you mean when you say getting the girls together?

We plan to leave Macon as close to 1pm as possible. It should take around 1.5hrs. So, we probably won't make it to the show floor until about 3pm. Chevrolet is having some sort of show in the Wrold Congress Center also and they gave me free ticket to the show (they are showing off the hideous Avalanche and Trailblaer which is pretty cool - great imporvement). So, I have to go pick those up. If nothing goes wrong that should be the time.

Oh well, doesn't matter. We ended up getting at the World Congress Center about 3:30 after driving around Atlanta for about forty-five minutes for the building, then for parking. We finally got in and went to the little special chevrolet show I was invited to, it was pretty cool. They were showing of the Avalanche and the Trailblazer - serving refreshments - and had a room overlooking the floor of the auto show. As I overlooked Oldsmobile I saw that barely anyone was sticking around there...sad.

I liked the Lexus part the best!!! Surprise! Really, after looking at the BMW, and a few other makes I really noticed a real difference in quality and feel. I am even more satisfied with my RX now. Plus, when I was driving home this 3.0 X5 was on I-75 too and got over one lane to the left of the fast lane to pass, so I did the same as all the cars in front of us were going to slow. We both shot out and I was ahead at first, and remained so! It was a woman driving (no offense to women) and i could tell she punched it, but it was no use...she was just up against a Lexus!!! I love the X5 thought and I was lucky it wasn't a 4.4i.

Oh! Ironically the best looking "show girl" was at the Lexus area showing off the new SC 430 and doing a great job at it. Great fun, I stayed a good 4-5 hours.
