Best New Engine
Volkswagen 1.4-liter TSI Twincharger — VW Golf - (European model)

This engine looks like a dream engine for modding...
It has both a compressor (for instant power) and a turbo (for mid/high rev power), and is only a 1.4L so TAX will be low (especially in Hong Kong :) )

Also ... fuel economy should be good ...

I already heard from a VW engineer (from VW HQ) that 200bhp should not be a problem!

VW's latest wonder scooped up the Best New Engine award for 2006 with a tally of 250 points, compared to the 196 that were allotted to Toyota's new 3.5-liter V6-based gas-electric hybrid powertrain, pioneered in the new Lexus GS 450h. Third in this class was the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06's 7.0-liter V8, with 123 points, followed by the Mercedes-Benz-AMG 6.3-liter V8, the Porsche Cayman S' 3.4-liter flat-six, and the redesigned Honda Civic's all-new 1.8-liter four-cylinder unit.

BTW, ain't this old news? :uh:
