“A Lexus SUV” was rear-ended on one of our freeways last night – and "rolled several times”. From the raw video from the scene, it looks like a GX was struck by a Chrysler 300 – piloted by a drunk.
Incredibly, the five passengers in the GX (Mom, Dad, 3 young kids, one an infant, received only minor injuries. Can we have a standing “O” for the safety engineers at Lexus? Gotta commend Mom and Dad for having those kids properly mounted in safety seats too. How many collisions and rollovers do you see involving minor injuries?

Oh yeah ... to Lexus. Seeing that its a tall and narrow SUV (which will keep me away from it) the results of this roll over is a good thing.

Wow! If you look very closely at the video it is not a GX but a LX. You can see the vent behind the rear window and 17 seconds into it you can see the front passenger side where you can see the radio antennae by the hood, which the GX does not have. Lexus sure does build a safe vehicle!!

You are absolutely right. I just went back and paused it in both scenes an yes that is my same LX for sure. Hint: GX has tail lights on the rear pillar what is it called C pillar? Talk about re-assurance and a boost of confidence as I will be going on a long road trip next month in the LX.

If you notice in the picture you posted, you can see the air vent behind the rear window. Also, stop the video 17 seconds into it and you will see the radio antennae by the hood on the passenger side, which the GX does not have. It is definately a LX.
I concur. It is an LX 470...

From the title I was glad to read that the GX fared so well, as we will be purchasing one in a short time, but now that it is confirmed that its actually an LX  Glad they were safe, hope the GX can protect its passengers this well
