bitkahuna 08-18-06, 08:15 PM Post no more than 3 pictures, no bigger than 1024x768 (and if you attach, they can only be 800x600 and <100K)
This week's subject: large outdoor animals - (cows, sheep, pigs, horses, llama, etc. :D ).
Try to find a good angle, setting, or a pose or look on the animal's face.

Maybe that's what makes it interesting. :p
OK, so where's yours? (Picture, not wang, lol :D )
ShadyJC 08-20-06, 02:37 PM Thanks bitkahuna, exactly what I was thinking of... but finding a large outdoor animal in metropolitan Los Angeles will be a bit of a challenge... I'll see what I can come up with.

OK find a big person sitting on a part bench. :p
Sorry teach...
But as much highway as I see, large photographable animals are next to impossible for me to photograph, unless you count some of the truckers who look like they are ready to give birth, LOL!!!!
Most of the pics I take will be from a moving truck, not to mention with a mediocre point and shoot camera. I need a makeup assignment before I fail this course. LOL!!!!
bit, excellent call on this thread:thumbup:
I'll go out and take some pics of some holsteins and some herefords tomorrow.
ShadyJC 08-24-06, 09:19 PM LA's large outdoor animals... (go easy on the noob photographer)

bitkahuna 08-24-06, 09:47 PM Great stuff! I'd kind of given up but you guys came through, well ShadyJC anyway, hehe. :D
trukn1 - use your imagination. Plus, many truck stops or weight stations must overlook farm land! You can do it! Or if you must take a picture of a lesser-spotted mammoth truck driver, go for it. :D
bitkahuna 08-24-06, 09:49 PM I'll be back in a week - you guys can add more throughout the week - so consider the deadline extended!
Mommoth truck driver,,, ewwww,,even I cant handle that, and I work amongst them. Will see what I can find. But to be humble for now, I will submit this....
Awesome picture - apart from his wang hanging down!! Photoshop that out :p

I've been pretty busy to go out and take pictures so i am a little late.
The second picture seems to be a little out of focus. Well, the mouth is in focus, but not the eyes. I guess I should have chosen a bigger aperature value.
I'm trying reallllly hard to think of the breed, but i'm a little slow tonight. Dorset, maybe?
bitkahuna 09-11-06, 02:13 PM Woogie - Congrats on the photos.
On the first one, is there more to the pic in the original? It's too bad you cropped off the ears / top.
On the second one, yes, smaller apeture (higher number) would have been good.
Oh and if you know the kind of sheep it is you're doing better than most people on here I'm sure. :p
bitkahuna 09-11-06, 02:18 PM Stage3 - love the aquarium - would have been nice if you crop off the black part at the top.
Here's an edit without the black, with a bit more color and contrast. What do you think?
bitkahuna 09-11-06, 02:19 PM Great job everyone - I'm going to unsticky this and post another assignment. :)
mrkenji 09-11-06, 04:29 PM http://mrkenji.net/stuff/tomimoto.JPG
