While going through our inbox on this first day of September, we received a tip from our good friend Vincent over at Autoblog.nl directing us a tuner by the name of Ad-Design that has attempted to convert a W220 Mercedes S-Class into an SLR-McLaren.

The result, as you see, falls slightly short of capturing the seductive essence of the SLR; it is, however, amusing to see a tuner even attempt to convert an S-Class into a $450,000 supercar.

Boy howdy... did they ever botch that hood. It looks like they gave it to a first timer and asked them to have fun. Yeesh! I think that if done right, they can make it look fantastic... but that specimen is awful!

The S-Class doesn't need an F1 nose. Good game Ad-Design.

Mercedes was not the one that made this car look like crap. It was done by a 3rd party company. Questionable lexus body kits (also from 3rd party companies) exist as well.

Mercedes didn't design the car to look anything like that. That was a third party after market body kit maker. Their are third part companies that make horrible looking body kits for Lexus's as well.
