R&T had articles on the test drive of these 3 cars. Not much substance, just praise generally. Anyways, these are the 0-60 numbers they got for each car.

S600

0-60: 4.4s

RDX

0-60: 6.3s

Maxima CVT

0-60: 6.2s

strange how they can get the RDX 0-60 in 6.3, other mags clocked it at 7.5 0-60

That is odd, I test drove the thing and it was only a litle bit more zippy than my modified RX300. Has to be in the 7s.

considering that "tests" were more like 1/4 page, who knows how they actually tested it...

The RAV4 ran 0-60 in 6.3 seconds in C&D's test. The RDX's got less power but is lighter and smaller than the RAV4, so the quick acceleration is kinda believable.

When they test the car they do a full test of the car (no GPS testing as you mentioned) - and yes, they tend to get faster times that most people because they correct for altitude and weather.

edit: if the times are prefaced with mfg claims or just mfg then they did not test it and are simply reporting what they were told.

Oops! Sorry, the tests were done by R&T, not C&D. (Can a mod change the title of the tread? Thanks.) And the test on the RDX wasn't a short one. It was four pages long. The articles on the Maxima and S600 were the short ones (just 3 paragraphs each). Sorry for the confusion.

Anyways, here are some more numbers that R&T got for the RDX.

0-60: 6.3s
0-100: 17.7s
1/4: 14.8s @ 92.6 mph
60-0: 132 ft
Slalom: 64.8 mph

Curb weight: 3940 lb
As tested weight: 4110 lb

I was wondering how I missed those short reviews!

R&T does NOT correct for altitude and weather - so it is quite possible that the RDX was tested on a cool day. Normally they mention the temps however in a full review.

I never thought i'd see the day that there would not be a manual Maxima. It's sad what Nissan has done to the car since '04.
I've had 3 Maximas ('90,'94,'02), hence the aggrevation.

Yes, they killed the MAxima. Its now an auto only, GS looking knock-off which is now made in America, is the size of a damn boat and handles like one, but oh, you get quad exhausts. Its the exact OPPOSITE of what the Maxima should be.
VERY VERY SAD what they did to the Maxima. Just PLEASE rename it:mad: :( :(

RDX=yawn, who cares

S 600= a near 5000lbs sedan doing 0-60 in 4.4 seconds, which is now exotic car territory is just freaking INCREDIBLE. I must BOW DOWN!

Yeah, but the car costs like $140-large, has a V-12 bi-turbo motor, with over 500HP, and a pavement-pounding 612Ibft of torque. With such numbers, anything near, at or above 5s 0-60 will be a disappointment, don't you think ? ;) ;)
