how are you guys that are lowring your car dealing with the warranty being voided after the springs are installed? just taking them out once you need to take the car in for repairs?...
sorry for noob question
adding springs don't void the warranty. it'll only be a problem if they find out the springs are the cause of whatever the problem is. only if that occurs will the warranty be voided for that particular repair.
But the law as far as in California is that the dealership has to prove that the item that you install is the cause of the problem.
One dealer on the RX-8 forum tried to say a K&N Air filter was the reason the owner's car had a power window failure. They tried to tell them that it caused some sort of mechanical failure. Funny guys.
Before buying my IS, carlsbad lexus (socal) tried to tell me that ANYTHING I do with aftermarket parts voids warranties on the car. Stereo, hids, wheels, etc etc. I was like wtf?! lol...
TECHNICALLY, It will 'void" said warranty of the part. Because you technically installed a non-genuine Lexus Part. If the aftermarket part is the cause of the failure for whatever reason. Your warranty is voided for that particular area.
