View Full Version : Finally, a few pics of the car after a wash.

My first pics were fresh off the lot pics, an hour ten minutes after a storm. I figured I'd give it a wash and take a few pics. I installed new Xenon headlamps today with 5k HID's. Still gotta go outside and tweak their position on the car. Just finished earlier. :)

Feedback welcome. :)

Not bad at all but I like the background for the black sunshine pics better. Also did you clean the inside too?

Car looks showroom new.

Shouldn't this be in the "Automotive Care and Detailing'? :D

This Euro assembly is completely different. The standard headlight assembly has the cut glass completely covering the face, like an old glass type headlight.

The new assembly has a clear smooth face with cut glass placed further back on a second layer designed for dispersing the HID's.

You should've gotten the projector lights for the CLK. But then again I'm not sure how they'd look on a 208.

Man those headlights are a perfect candidate for LS430 projectors :D

That's a business called "The Bread Basket" which sells custom ordered and hand made breads as you request. They'll make anything :) (and the cakes are good too)

Oh yes i was going to say the hid models had the clear lens and the main part was pushed back. Great car, i have a 97 E myself. The car has no problem other than 02 sensors (knock on wood). Congrats.

I love these clk's than the current one. The current one looks and feels like a bigger 2-dr c class (sorry).

Why don't you take a picture with ALL of your cars lined-up???:p
I would love to see that:eek2:

Looks great!! I love it!! Whats crazy is that I am so used to seeing huge 20+in rims with rubberband tires that Im starting to think the stock setup on your CLK is subpar. :egads: I need to get that thought process out of my head.

Enjoy the new ride.

A fault of the earlier models. You can even see it in the 00-02 S-Class. :(

I dunno if it's a "fault". I'd rather it be flush myself, but it's designed that way so that's part of the styling. That'd kinda be like calling a shark fin on a 740il a fault, which it's not of course.

You need to give me some of your money. Support your fellow CL college members!

Seriously man, how many cars are you up to now?
Definetly a true enthusiast. Much love!
