bitkahuna 10-02-06, 10:16 PM Water...
Many settings - be creative!
Coming out of a faucet...
Swimming pool
Fountains
Lake
River
Pond
Icebergs :D
etc.
Main subject should be the water and not you standing beside it for example. :)

ShadyJC 10-04-06, 12:13 AM ^^^ nice photo!!!

Dunno why,the water looks fake :uh:
I would like to propose a rule change
perhaps include information about the photo such as location, background info, camera info?
That is one badass picture, and I'd like more information on it such as how you did it :)

I got jealous cause everyone was adding borders to their pictures. It took me over a half hour to figure out how to add a freakin border!!! :egads: I dont use photoshop practically ever. LOL. Last time I experiment with PS. :D
Anyway this pic was taken in Philly on the Roosevelt Parkway. A small park called Logan Square. It is half way between the Philly Art museum and City Hall. If you can see the hot air balloon off to the right, right below it is the top of the Art Museum(aka Rocky Steps).
Like AJ, this is a recycled pic I took sometime in April/May.
Hope yall enjoy my sorry ass photo skills. :D

I'm out of season with these.
Lake Tahoe south-east side.
Shot April 2002 with the custom Noblex 150 E2 panoramic camera, 132 degree horizontal field of view. Don't recall the exact data, probably 1/60'th=1/250'th second at f8 using Fuji Velvia. The fun part was walking in tennis shoes in the knee deep snow...can we say cold feet. :)
This image is sized for a 115" wide output so the impact and detail is lost in this small size.

Yeah living in Oregon, have to learn to love the rain, and make the most of the clear days!! it's not for everyone.
bitkahuna 10-04-06, 09:49 PM Wow, you guys are showing really great shots! Excellent response! :woot:

bitkahuna 10-04-06, 11:39 PM Remember folks, the main subject should be water, not buildings, people, etc.
But keep up the great posts.

bitkahuna 10-29-06, 07:12 PM Silverlady, my bad, never commented on your pics.
My take, based on the assignment, is that the main subject of the 2nd and 3rd isn't really water, but the 1st one counts I'd say. :D
Nice pics.
I went on 17 mi. drive myself some years back. Nice area.
hapaboy 10-30-06, 07:17 PM but of course...
Ok, I'm gonna slip this one in under the creative category. Subject was suppose to be water and we were also told to be creative. Well, Ice still qualifies as water in it's most creative of stages,,,

SilverLady 11-02-06, 06:33 PM Those fish are absolutely beautiful! I love koi. Did you raise them from little guys?
I am glad you guys like it. I am very proud of it because I design and built everything myself. Thanks for the compliments.
Silverlady. I see that you also have koi. Yes, I raise them from little. Some of them were transferred from my old pond. I currently have about 50. Some of them are nice but not even close "show quality" but they are my koi regardless of their beauty. :)
back to topic.
We have some very good and creative pictures.
bitkahuna 11-02-06, 10:27 PM Great job everyone - this one's a wrap. Another assignment soon... :)
