Mr. Hennessy back at it again....(more forum trouble)
Seems that Mr. Hennessy sponors a few of this admins forums and a member was upset about how his car was handled by the Hennessy shop.
Mr. Hennessy demands the thread deleted. The admin says your a sponsor and that does not include deleting negative threads about your shop.
He pulls sponsorship and then starts this bashing thread.
Amazing.
Your response, sadly, is how the majority of uninformed enthusiasts look to this situation.Yeah I wonder how many OTHER people have totally missed the bus on this one. His reputation has been FOR YEARS a swindling ******* who won't hesitate to part out your car when its supposed to be getting worked on. I agree with the previous statement: I can't honestly believe people still do business with this guy; they DESERVE what happens to them because they're so uninformed.
Strangely enough, when that vendor 'happens' to be a forum sponsor, the thread is locked or deleted pretty quickly with a harsh note from one of the admins to take it to email or PM.
Yet when it's not a supporting vendor of the forum that's being bashed, the threads typically get left alone.
Granted some of the threads seem to be some pretty stupid complaints from members who have unrealistic expectations and have resorted to crying about it on the forum... but again, that doesn't seem to determine whether or not the thread gets locked or deleted. This almost seems flat out corrupt in some ways to me.
I don't care if they sponsor the forum or not - either allow all reasonable complaints with online vendors to be discussed on the forum, or none. But stifling only complaints against the supporting vendors by pretending like they should 'take it to email' (when obviously emails and calls have already been extensively exchanged between the two and the thread was made as a warning to others...) is pretty shady.
