I am sure we will get pics soon. Veritek brought out his "other" GS, this one a Spectra blue 400. Lexism brought out his GS 430. JaimeCBR900 brought out his custom turbo GS 400 and I ran my GS 430 on, lol, SNOW tires.
We'll see if they see this thread to share times.
I ran with a loaded trunk (since I was one of the lead organizers) and my first run was 15.2 seconds.
My second run was 14.86 and I had about 5 more runs with 14.8x...
My best run was a 14.7 at 96 mph
Clearly, I always recommend TAKING IT TO THE DRAG STRIP and getting YOUR numbers and not some damn magazines.
Very happy with my baseline and I look to report improvements in spring 2007.
Here is our sign up sheet. I coordinated with the AMG club who was having their East Coast meet. OMG, right around 20 AMG cars, I think 6 SL 55/65 (one Kleeman), Brabus SLK 55s, a new S550, and a E63 AND CLS 63 came courtesy of AMG headquarters.
With the news scaring me everyday of Al Queda, terrorists, global warming, hurricanes, diseases, asteroids I figure I better slap on snow tires or I'll die.....
lol
I got the chrome 17's from LT. Lex who was living in Baltimore at the time, so it had snow tires. I won't have these rims on in the spring (teaser) but rather something supplied by the brand entrusted by the majority of racing teams in the world....

Now if that ain't a BBS hint I don't know what is! Congrats Mike! Which model and what size did you get? I am guessing 18 inches. Now tell us which model.

Is your GS430 stock? My 99 GS400 ran a best of 14.7 @ 97 at Memphis motorsports park in about 75 degree weather and high humidity (very cloudy sky we thought we'd get rained out).
My car was 100% stock power wise... just had front and rear lower chassis braces, 6-piece rear susp bracing kit, f&r strut tower bars and daizen f&r sway bars.
So basically it was stock power-wise with 70k miles and the only good the mods did for a 1/4-mile run was weigh me down.
I did run on Bridgestone Turanza LS-V allseason touring tires, though... 16" wheels.
