What do you think the sexiest NEW car is that you can buy for under $100k?

It's not because I have a Jaguar, but I think the new XKR is simply beautiful!

Very nice car. My advice if you want a Jag, buy one 1-2 years old when they are worth half of their value. Not sure why but Jag resales are the worst I have ever seen for a sub $100k car.

I'm not a big fan of Jag's... For that much money I'd rather get a 650i or SL550.

M6 yes, not a 650. The coupes loaded at MSRp are in the low 80's, the vert is in the low 90's.

You can get a pretty loaded coupe out the door for about $78k.

I just built a 650i on BMW's website, fully loaded and it came out to $86,840. My best friends fiance also has a loaded 650 and payed right around 85k for it... You must be thinking of the M6.

Here in SD you can get them for about $1500 over invoice. Euro delivery gets another 7% off if you desire.

Anyone notice that Jag is in the top 5 JDPA now for quality?

i dont know much about its value or resale, but the lines on the car are oh so sexy! the "R" makes it even more beautiful!

To make the case even more convincing, Navigation is an option on the $150k car. :banghead:

THe only problem with that car is its cheap looking headlights and taillights. Doesnt really scream high end. Front really reminds of our favorite ford... But then again, head designer was the brother of the guy who designed our favorite car from Ford.

I agree the XK has a nice overall body but I can't get past the lights.
They look like they were taken off a Ford econo-car.

In the original thread on this car everyone said the same thing.
Hopefully Jaguar facelifts it with new headlights within a couple of years.

Jag XK-series and Astons have come from the same platforms and body shells for years....that is no secret. However, they do not share the same engines, and the interior trim is somewhat different. I don't think, though, that this affects Maseratis......if the Maserati looks like the Jag and Aston, it is probably just a coincidence.

Performance and practicality aside i think this is the sexiest roadster to be made since the old porche spiders that James Dean died in.

BTW~ Tsuchiya (Drift King) from Best Motoring (japanese performance reviewers) said that he felt the Solstice was better than the Honda S2k(as far as a stock platform should be concerned.)!
