Yeehee. Here are fresh images of the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer, set to debut next year at the Detroit auto show. The Lancer will come with a 152-horsepower 2.0-Liter 4-cylinder engine, which has a 5-speed manual transmission. There will be 3 trim levels offered: the DE, ES and the GTS.

I think anything is an improvement over the current Lancer looks. This is a much need step in the right direction. Volvo and Acura TL styling cues are a good thing for an entry level Japanese econobox.
