It involves Honda/Acura vehicles purchased/leased between April 13,2002 and November 7th, 2006. It's about the odometer overstating mileage by 2%-4%.
This may be a dumb question..
But if the odo. if off how can you tell? What else keeps track of milage besides your odo... I guess what I'm getting at is how do they know the car was doing this.. besides, well, Honda admitting it?
My dad just got one in the mail last night, he has a 2003 CL. I remember him saying something about a possible 4 or 5 percent warranty extension if it goes through. I will try to locate it and get more information.
I have no clue but I am sure there is a way it can be measured legally. I remember a while back in one of the Honda forums people complained about the mileage stated on the odometer compared to the mileage markers on the side of the highways.
I am curious why the lawyers didn't seek damages on vehicle trade-ins. You lose value for every mile over the yearly average. They covered the lease returns on over-mileage paid.
The lawyers are seeking 9.6mil in attorney fees, wowie.
