what exactly is the Paul McCartney edition anyway? Must be nothing special if it topped $47K. A new loaded Rx400h runs for about that much.

Sorry about the images quality/size. I took them from the camera on my BlackBerry. I think the show wasn't as much fun as last year. Maybe it was the the weather and the quality of cars ... who knows? It did snow as we were leaving. Yes, I said that right .... SNOW!

Lexus has built a one-of-a-kind RX 400h to commemorate the 2005 Paul McCartney US Tour presented by Lexus. The design concept behind the Paul McCartney Signature Edition is iconic of Paul McCartney's onstage image and has been with him through his vast recording career. They are collectible items that are as relevant today as they were when they were introduced, and are as highly coveted now as they were in the height of Beatlemania - Paul McCartney's 1962 Hofner bass guitar and its complement, the VOX AC30 amplifier.
The Paul McCartney Signature Edition Lexus RX 400h features a custom-painted Hofner guitar design on the exterior, evolutionary designed Antera Type 349 light alloy wheels, and unique touches inside such as a classic Shure 55 Unidyne microphone shifter, VOX fabric seats, outlets for plug 'n' play in the rear cargo area, and a Mark Levinson premium multichannel sound system. Also included is a reissue 1962 Hofner bass guitar, VOX AC30 amplifier, set of Paul McCartney recordings and US Tour merchandise.
Lexus has generously donated the Paul McCartney Signature Edition Lexus RX 400h to Adopt-A-Minefield, one of Paul McCartney's charitable efforts. Adopt-A-Minefield is a campaign of the United Nations Association of the USA, which engages individuals, community groups, and businesses in the United Nations effort ot resolve the global landmine crisis. The Campaign helps save lives by raising funds for mine clearance and survivor assistance and by raising awareness about the landmine problem.
