It lists the 10 best drivers cars that the readers posted about.
This isn't the iconic list, LOL.

Well, you can't include every great drivers car according to everyone with a list only 10 cars long...I think they chose the best of the best IMO.

Oh, boy....we're going to hear some b**ching.

No doubt BMW makes some of the best driver's cars available, but BMW and their M-division will always be overshadowed by Porsche.
Most people here have never driven most of these cars so I doubt many will be able to disagree. The only one that seems odd to me is the Integra type-r. FWD cars no matter how great shouldn't be in with a list like that. But then again, I've never driven one.
glad to see the ITR listed. makes me a very proud ex-owner. :)

Perhaps this is proof against those who think that FWD=sucks. And at least you admitted that you never drove an ITR; I suspect that most FWD haters have also never tried to take one to the limit and only mindlessly repeat the mantra they've heard.
I'm happy to see two Acuras on that list, but disappointed that they are both discontinued models...
DriftNsc3 01-28-07, 03:37 PM I've driven the ITR and I totally dis-agree with it being on that list. They could of put a BMW or Supra or the RX-7 or what about the new Z06? The ITR shoud not be on that list.
rsantiago 01-28-07, 03:44 PM BMW M3, Chevy Corvette, Ford Mustang are missing from the list.

Aside of the BMW, there seems to be no mistake there.

It was voted 5 issues ago as the best handling FWD car ever (ITR). it is the only car on this list. It is also one of the few affordable cars on this list, so it has that going for it. I have also not driven one but I've read enough that says the car is just a blast, even if its FWD.
I would take the Bugatti off. I think its on there b/c people are just shocked the numbers.
1.2 mill
0-60 in 2.6 seconds or whatever
1,000 hp
I've driven the ITR before. Make no mistake, its probably the best FWD vehicle for performance in terms of track-use. It doesn't plow through the corners like a big FWD sedan. That stock LSD differential pulls the car to the right direction to the point where you feel it's oversteering a bit. FWD is no issue when you have a chassis that's lighter than jenny craig. I can see why the car made the list. Not to mention the intoxicating sound that makes you want to keep on pushing it further to the limit.
But I am sadden to see the bmw M3 not making the list. I would gladly take off the veyron for the M3 any day of the week.
mavericck 01-28-07, 06:32 PM I'm frankly suprised they put the Zonda C12S on their instead of the Zonda F.

The ITR drives more like a RWD car than most RWD cars:p Seriously, that is one heck of a drivers car. Remember, even most RWD cars today have understeer built in. ITR is much closer to neutral than a lot of car out today.
kissbang 01-29-07, 12:07 AM Eh... Integra... Too bad every OTHER owner is a freakin' rice boy. Otherwise, I might've gotten a different opinion about it. But nope, they ruined it for me. I will never like that car.
Finally, the F40 getting the attention it deserves. That car was so far ahead of its time.
okcfunky 01-29-07, 10:22 AM Interesting to go back all the way to the early 70's with the 2.7 RS. But I'm surprised they had the regular 997 GT3, rather than the RS version.
Needs to replace the Veyron with the M3 though. It's not like theres gonna be a group of them hunting on the tracks. I swear, the M3's are like a pack of wolves sometimes lol.
