2008 Land Rover Discovery 3 (LR3) interior revealed!
At the Geneva Motor Show Land Rover announced freshened interiors for 2008 Range Rover Sport and Discovery 3 (LR3), but they haven’t released any official photos yet. Well, someone over at Land Rover enthusiast website Disco3.co.uk just emailed us with details on these new interior packages for Discovery 3 (LR3). According to Disco3.co.uk, there will be a Brunel Metallic trim option with Ebony center panel, a separate wood option package and a piano black trim option similar to that found in the Range Rover. 2008 model production is said to start April 30th and dealers are taking orders now.

The lower level Land Rover interiors always looked like crap to me. Very nice update. Nice to see a design (and hopefully quality) that finally has a family resemblance to the more expensive Range Rover.

Outright dumb, you would thing the midlevel range would be LR2 and not the other way around. Even Hummer got that right.

The "lowly" LR3?
It still starts well over 40k and gets into the upper 50s.
That center stack looks severely dated for any SUV, IMO, much less one this expensive.
The passenger side of the vehicle reminds me heavily of a Lincoln SUV product - very large components, not much detail, just large swooping simple connecting angles and lines.
It's not horrible, especially if you're all business with it and just want a premium SUV that will off-road nicely. But if interior was one of my primary focuses, that SUV would be WAY down on the list of competitors.
Not to mention the ridiculously terrible reliability ratings they've received.
It still starts well over 40k and gets into the upper 50s.
That center stack looks severely dated for any SUV, IMO, much less one this expensive.

It's not horrible, especially if you're all business with it and just want a premium SUV that will off-road nicely. But if interior was one of my primary focuses, that SUV would be WAY down on the list of competitors.
