"Though the Scion xD measures out much like the Honda Fit, from its 96.9-inch wheelbase to its 60.0-inch height, the xD seems far less self-conscious. It's also more aggressive than the Nissan Versa, more substantial than the Chevy Aveo, and simply better than the Toyota Yaris."

Maybe one with a body kit and bigger wheels will appeal to you a little more...

Reminds me of a Renault.
I was thinking the same thing.....especially the Renault Megane, but Renaults are usually found more in repair shops than in auto-show surroundings.:D

FIT is so old, European magazines dont even test it in group tests... it used to get rated last 2-3 years ago.
But what we europeans know eh? Yaris in Europe sells only as much as Corolla in the USA :-), and it is 4th best selling car in the class
xD is slightly larger class than Yaris/Fit, and has new 1.8 ZR engine with double-vvti, just like new Corolla.
I had chance to drive new Auris with 1.6 ZR engine and it is really good engine - very smooth, torque from down below, and excellent NVH. I can only imagine that 1.8 version will be only better in smaller and lighter car.
