VW rejects Porsche takeover bid ( UPDATE-Porsche Files with EU to Take Over VW )
BERLIN (AFP) - Management at Volkswagen, Europe's biggest car maker, Friday said it had unanimously rejected a takeover offer from German luxury sports car maker Porsche.

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Porsche (PSHG_p.DE: Quote, Profile, Research has asked the European Commission for permission to take over Volkswagen (VOWG.DE: Quote, Profile, Research, a filing with the Commission showed on Friday.
The Commission has until July 2 to consider whether the deal should win competition approval or requires further investigation.
