I was at Shell tonight filling up(3.11 for 87)when a new Ferrari 612 pulled in to get gas. Well he had to of only put like $10 in because he was in and out quick, well before he left, he went to the drive through car wash. My question is, would you take your Ferrari in a gas station car wash? I wouldn't.
if you can afford the ferrari, you can probably afford to do what ever you like with it ... it's like asking 'where are you going to park it?' - you park it anywhere you want to
Most gas stations with the drive through car wash are pretty good these days since it's touchless. He was probably in a hurry and needed it to be washed. Or just wanted to wash some bird doo doo off of the car.
Gas station car washes are the best, they don't have brushes and they dont have illegal immigrants wiping your car with dirty towels after you come out. I usually was my car in and out myself during warm weather, but during the winter I just clean the inside and then go to one of these touchless car washes to clean the exterior.
I have seen a Ferrari that occasionally comes to our 1/4 mile track go through the same one where I go through and his response to me was that he wanted it to be clean as possible when it ran.
touchless car washes are good enough for me. I've never washed my car once since i got it. Just drive through the touchless and wipe down after and car looks just as good as the day i got it a year later.
