It's been a while since we had one of these threads...there's new models out since the last time. So name the Lexus cars you think are the best looking. Any model, any year is okay, it's your list, your opinion. My list starts with the IS. I think it's the best looking car Lexus has ever produced. If it were a coupe it would be on my list of all time greats of any brand. Even in sedan form, it is sweet. Just wish the interior space could accomodate us big guys. As for looks, it's the real deal in my book. My list:
Considering that the base OEM wheels are garbage on both, I'm going to have to be specific and say it's a tie between the LS 460L TOURING or the GS with any of the the 18" wheel upgrades, or the GS 450h. Those are beautiful :)

LS600hL for me also :thumbup: The IS350 & SC400/430 are nice too.(for EXTERIOR)
I still like SC430 interior the best :thumbup: but sitting in the back, the LS460L/600hL executive package can't be beat :D

Everything pre L-finesse, besides of course rebadged Toyotas (GX, RX, ES). The best looking ones however are SC400 and SC430.

rebadged toyotas ftw. even though l-finesse isn't a step backwards, the pre l-finesse definitely has it's own style style.

Depends, if you read Lexus histories, it's clear that the F1 project became the LS first; midway through the project, the JDM dealers wanted in on the F1 project and thus a rebadged LS 400 became the Celsior because Lexus was not launched in Japan at the time. So the Lexus LS came first. Aristo, Altezza came first before GS, IS, until the 3GS/2IS. As for Soarer or Windom it's more complicated.

Pre L-Finesse nothing beats the 2nd gen. GS300/400/Aristo, Soarer/SC300/400 1st generation.
Who care if Pre L-Finesse was a re badged Toyota for Lexus/Toyota fanatics it doesn't matter, there still made from the same company.

Well, technically you're right, I should have said everything pre L-finesse, except rebadged USDM Toyotas.
As far as L-finesse, it's a step down in my eyes. The entire Lexus lineup now looks the same, with no character. I sometimes confuse the new LS for a Camry. Not only that, but the build quality and materials went down, but thats a separate discussion.

I figured I would break these up into two categories, because I think at times the interiors don't always match up well with the exteriors. Anyway, these are my top 5 favorites.
the 2GS will always be a timeless design, had they incorporated the taillights in the 3GS then it would have been probably the best looking lexus hands down. but its a toss up between the aggressive look of the 2IS or the elegant but hip 2GS.
I'm surprised to hear so many votes for the SC. That's always been a very odd looking car to me.

I completely forgot about the LS460. I'd put it in my 5th slot moving everything else down once notch.

Which SC are you talking about, the 430? If so, it's the uniqueness of it that has grown on me. Still not a big fan of it's shape but it has lots of style. I love unique designs.

The IS350... easily. Not only the best-looking but the best Lexus car overall. This car fully accomplishes its mission. If you offered me any car Lexus makes for free... I'd pass the GS, the LS, the ES and everything else and find me a black IS.

I think most of them meant the first-gen SC300/400, not the Audi-TT-look-alike.
If so, the 1st-gen SC gets my vote too. The 2nd-gen, IMO, was a styling disaster.

Actually, I did mean the first generation SC. I think that if they would've stretched the wheelbase (keeping the overall body dimensions the same), and put bigger wheels on it, it wouldn't have been so bad. Actually, it wouldn't hurt to shorten the nose a bit too.
