So here's the thing, my mum used to drive a GMC Envoy and she really liked it she says she liked the appearance and I think she also said she liked how it drove ... why? I really don't know, but I do know if I can get her to drive something better she will like it.
Here's what I ask of you guys: please find something good that looks like this
thx ... she's not buying anything this summer so there's no rush; future models of things are a-ok
The Envoy isn't a bad choice at all for a used SUV, especially if you want a body on frame truck-chassis based SUV instead of the car-based SUVs that are out everywhere today.
GM knows how to make a serious truck.
I think the 4runner is a better choice when buying new, but a 4runner has a way higher resale value, making it a not as great choice when buying used, IMO.
she'll buy new ... and i'm seriously opposed to her driving another enovy after the envoy from before, bad quality everything
the goal is to find something asthetically similar but better all around
I know you'll probably be opposed to this but I seriously challenge you to go check out the GMC Acadia or Saturn Outlook or Buick Enclave. HUGE steps up in terms of build quality and materials quality all around.
The 4runner would be a close match to her envoy in terms of overall purpose and size, but it's going to be getting a redesign here in another year - year and a half ... not sure how big she is on not having the 'old bodystyle' - women tend to focus on that a lot sometimes.
