NTSB has noted both parties were negligent, citing "failure to see and avoid" issues. My question is what was the Lambo doing on a taxiway in the first place? Non-service vehicles are restricted on the flight line, and the few that are permitted carry beacons and flags to make them more visible. A little black skateboard like the Lambo is begging for a propstrike by pulling out on the field.
Topic has been debated to death on the Lambo boards. A point constantly brought up is that planes ALWAYS have the right-of-way on taxiways, so the Lambo driver was just plane wrong.
And, BTW, visibility is so bad in Countachs that I can easily see how he missed the plane.
Now about calling the car "flawless" and worth $100K -- PLEEEESE!!!!!!
It was also brought up that this is the THIRD Lambo destroyed by a plane. Somehow they never tell you to watch out for planes at the dealership.
