I hate to be a soar thumb.. but I gotta ask.. Is this an alignment? AT ALL? Attached is the alignment done by a SoCal Lexus dealer for $250. The service advisor said it take the tech 2 hours to align a vehicle, hence the notoriously high pricing. I had to get it done @ the dealership because they wouldn't replace the defective tires for me unless I bought 2 tires @ 40% over retail. Anyhow.. i was fed up with the vehicle so I got it done..
Looking at the sheet. the toe came out worse than it was. and I can see now that camber was the problem with uneven tire wear.
Uhhh barely anything. They adjusted the front toe some but that's it.
Yes, for the most part, that's it.
But, assuming there is no steering/suspension damage or loose parts, uneven or premature tire wear can be caused by a number of things besides just bad alignment. Tire pressures out of spec, bent wheels (unlikely with alloys), non-stock wheels that were not designed for the car, failure to rotate tires on schedule, overloading the vehicle, driving too fast or on excessively hot roads, hard and repeated use of the brakes, grainy or rough, high-friction road surfaces, poor-quality tires, too-large tires for the car rubbing inside the fender wells.....all of this, and more, can play a part.
