No...that car is the new Jag S-Type replacement, the XF.

and I saw the M3 here yesterday in socal, going up Palos Verdes Blvd...unfortunately it wasn't a suitable place for a U-turn so I couldn't chase it. Actually, come think of it, it might have been a 335i with the M3 bumper.

but anyways, looks the M3s are rampant on the ring!

Apparantly some people just sit on the side of the 'Ring all day long and sell these pics for a living. That's one job I wouldn't mind doing.:p

And for some real inside scoop, rent a car such as a 911 Turbo and race some of those prototypes and see what kinda performance would it have

Jaguar XF...
+1

It will be interesting to see if this helps Jaguar sales like it should. It certainly can't hurt.

It's kind of stupid that the Germans let other manufacturers use their Nurburgring and Autobahn.

How is it stupid? The Autobahn is a highway, they can't stop people from using it, and the ring is a race track that anyone can use, just pay the entrance fee and you can get in.

Why do you say that? Just like any other track its open to the general public (on certain days/times). And according to Richie (our International mod), part of it is still used as a toll-road.

These are SICK ass photos.
Why?
Because they aren't blurry and they are relatively high resolution.

Looks like the STI is running around. It's on the 5 door body. Dual twin pipes. Big wheels. Can't tell much else from that.

Those look like Jaguar rims (new XK??). Probably the new S-Type.. based on that concept car.. I forget the name.

hmm... They're still testing the 8C Competizione? and is that the new Impreza WRX (STi?) that's under disguise or are they old pics?

Also, what's that car right at the bottom.. panoramic roof + MB wheels... possibly the next E-Class replacement?

usually at the tracks, they don't allow you to pass from the inside so I bet this is a pic of the M3 trying to catch up to the LF-A :p

woohoo, the return of the M3 Limo
http://home.online.no/~kn-sand//ringen%20juli07/Bilde%20074b.jpg

and this is the first time I've seen the LF-A with so little disguise.

Well the Nurburgring is what has been giving the Germans a substantial advantage in terms of development over its non-German rivals and for them to let other manufacturers use the track to develop their chassis and suspension systems negates that advantage.

I never said that the Nurburgring is not an open track to the general public, only that by letting other manufacturers use this track to develop their chassis's and suspension systems they basically giving those other companies have a free hand at taking away their advantage. Which is not very prudent of them, unless they charge a very hefty fee to those other auto companies.

They can't decided when the cars roll up in all black tape then decide "Uhh, we have to charge you more because your testing a non German."
