Buying from private dealer question.
Hi, I'm pretty new to this forum, and soon to be a owner of an sc300 (hopefully). So I find this car in autotrader, I check it out and decide I wanna buy it. The guy lost his pink slip, so he had to go to the dmv and get another one, however, and I don't know the story in detail...He said that it still showed Lexus as the owner. So he had to go to Corporate Lexus to get a release form, to sell the car. I carfaxed it, and it shows as lease. To those who leased a car and ended up buying, have you ever had to go through something like this when reselling? And how long does it take for Corp Lexus to mail the paperwork? Anything will help. Thanks.
