2008 Dodge Caravan / Chrysler Town & Country
Not exactly breaking news but I didn't see a thread on the new minivans yet.
What do you guys think?
For me, it isn't as dramatic a change as I thought it would be. The biggest improvements seem to be on interior features where versatility and practicality set new standards.
The exterior design is simple but good looking. At least they aren't ugly.
I'd still take an Odyssey if exterior looks and overall quality were my priorities.

In what way? Styling? Purely subjective but I agree the Odyssey still looks better, IMO. The only thing they may lag behind Toyota and Honda is quality. These vans pack a good amount more features and versatility than Sienna and Odyssey.

Yeah somewhat, not as curvy as the previous years. I've always like the look of the present Caravans and Town & Country. I believe reliabilty may have been a problem. Chrysler needs to make a killing on the minivans again because they're behind Toyota and Honda now. My neighbor recently bought a new Toyota Sienna and gave me a ride to work one morning and it was a nice.

Not bad-looking at all 
....but despite continually good sales, these vehicles have a number of problems to address. They have a history of poor-quality interior and exterior hardware, unreliable transmissions, and sub-standard paint jobs. On the flip side, they have also had a number of innovative ideas like the flip-down rear child seat built into the rear seat (wonder what ever happened to that?) and the Stow-And-Go flip-down second and third seats underfloor (The Odyssey and Sienna only have the flip-down third seat), but the Stow-And-Go package, not surprisingly, made for increased road noise because of the lack of insulation in the frame under the seats.
Just from the posted pictures, on the surface, the new bodies look handsome and the interiors seem to have some visual improvements, but, without seeing them in person, it will be hard to tell if the interiors and bodies aren't the same old Chrysler flimsiness, just in a new wrapper.

Wow... that dash is horrible... if it's anything like the Caliber I've been driving for a week, it's all plastic... and cheap plastic at that! YIKES!

It looks like a 1st gen Kia Sedona, but the swivel and go seats are cool - IIRC I recall reading a Ford ad from a 1970's era National Geographic and they had an Econoline with swivel seats.
