You get what you pay for.

Yes, Chery vehicles cost as much as a coffin nowadays...

Yikes... that was surprising. My '72 Fiat would probably do better... (not that I want to try)

Video: I saw the front begin to crush... then above the wheel... thought, surely it's going to lose some of that momentum. Or maybe not. Fortunately, the driver can absorb the impact :thumbdn:

Good way to ensure you don't have repeat buyers...

I hope this car doesn't make it to the US shore

I don't think it will even pass Dept of Transportation standards.

And no insurance company will insure that car.

I think you'd be safer in a bicycle. At least on a bike, you don't have tons of (cheap) steel crushing you to death.

Check out the Yaris liftback crash test. It's MUCH safer and it's like half the size of those Chery's!

The micro-sized Yaris is even safer than a Ford F-150 :eek2: F-150 is a deathtrap!

I give Ford some credit for the current gen F-150 - much improved.

The QQ is a rebadged Daewoo anyway, and it costs less than 4K in China, what do you expect from a car cost so little?
I always mess with my friends who has QQ in China, told them that car is just a 200CC motorcycle with a cover :egads:

Chery execs...
"We did not test for safety as we feel
1. If you wreck it, you can buy another Chery at Wal-Mart for $5.99
2. Safety is overrated. You cannot drive if you get in an accident"

I don't know what you guys are complaining about...
The back of the car (from the backseat to the trunk looks completely intact, having been protected by the crumple zone in the driver's seat.
Also, this IS the first vehicle in the 21st century to use the driver as a stressed chassis member...

Brilliant!

American and other car makers are only one generation ahead. They will improve. Give them some time. With that said, you won't be seeing me in Chery for another 20 years.

Would you like your steering column with salt or pepper?

It's sad when the Ford Festiva kicks your butt in the crash test.
