:eek2:

That's how this post will start out. They did a VS battle between a bunch of supercars in the previous month's Road & Track magazine. Not sure off the top of my head but they had Porsche/Ruf, Ferrari, Lambo, Bugatti, Liegenfelder ZO6, Mercedes Mclaren SLR and the Viper TT. There were various tests including a time race to 200MPH where actually to my surprise only 4 of these cars were able to make it to 200MPH! The most insane thing was that the Viper made it to 200MPH in less than HALF the time than the majority of these cars except for the Bugatti!:eek2: It made it to 200MPH in around 24 seconds where the Bugatti did it in around 29/30. The Ruf and others did it in around mid 40 seconds. The crazy thing is the Bugatti won the race to 100MPH just edging the Viper but after that the Viper just hauled A$$ to 200; actually it kept going and hit around 250MPH if my memory serves me correct. The driver said he actually lost "visual acuity" for a split second during his launch (initial acceleration). He also mentioned that he spun the wheels in 4th at around 140MPH!!! Holy *****!!! To my surprise it actually handled very well around twisties as well compared to the others. What a car - unbelievable. Pick up this mag or look at this thing on the net. A pure beast! I think someone was saying it can run high 8's low 9's in the 1/4 mile! WOW!!!

Awesome, thanks! My memory didn't serve me as well as I thought. lol. Viper TT ~20sec to 200mph, Bugatti Veyron and Leigenfelder ZO6 ~24 and ~26 seconds respectively to 200mph. Everything else seems to be much further behind. Great article!

Too bad Hennesey has a bad reputation.
yea, i know a couple mopar/viper owners who would rather have ebay electric superchargers and leafblowers feeding their engines than have the car touched by Hennesey,

Yup. The guy has done all types of unsavory things (transferring parts without telling the owners, ripping people off, etc.), and has the nerve to stand tall and talk smack on the forums.

A quick search to find this nonsense:

Yup. Hennesey :thumbdn:

The Bugatti 16-4 Veyron is still the crown. A car without a good reputation is :thumbdn:

A modified car like a viper will have the potential to beat a stock veyron. A modified civic will have the potential to beat a stock viper. A modified go-ped will have the potential to beat a stock civic (actually it might already beat it stock).

The point is, I dont care much for Modified vs Stock. Give me a veyron over that viper any day. I like to retain luxury :)

How can people not know about that guy? That info has been out since he ripped off a Viper owner that posted on the Corvette Forums about 6 years ago.

Everytime I see his name come up, I cant believe he's not in jail or dead.
