Your purchase date is probably after the date they finalized the invite database. Cynically speaking, the TOL event is for Lexus owners to be updated on the current product line so they will buy another Lexus. Since you bought yours in June, 1) You are not likely to be buying another car this year 2) You are already familiar with the Lexus line and wouldn't learn much new at the event.
And the dealer survey, that'll come later.

Coupons are non-transferrable, so your friend would have had to sign up as your guest.
But actually... hmm, this is worth a try. Have your friend sign up for one of the remaining events.

he'll be waitlisted, and probably not get the right to go in. But they might send him a certificate anyway. That's what happened for me last year.

I was under the impression that not everyone got a survey. Is that true?

I got a survey via e-mail and the marketing rep. from the dealer called me to make sure the experience was up to par.
