Bond goes back to Bentley
James Bond is trading in his Aston Martin for a Bentley. After years of happily tooling around in DB5s and DBSs, 007's allegiance will tranfer from Gaydon to Crewe in the new Bond novel, Devil May Care.
The book, written by Sebastien Faulks - he of Birdsong and Charlotte Gray fame - to commemorate the centenary of Ian Fleming's birth, takes Bond back to his motoring roots.
"Despite many of the films portraying him with an Aston Martin, Bond's first choice of car was a Bentley, so that is what he will be driving in my book," says Faulks.
Devil May Care is set in 1967, during the height of the Cold War, and though the plot is shrouded in mystery Faulks did reveal that Bond's Bentley will be 'battleship grey' - the same colour that Fleming specified for 007's Bentley convertible in the original Casino Royale novel.
There is speculation that Bond's car could be the 1967 T-series, a slightly earlier variant of the Bentley owned by our very own James May and driven in Season Two of TGTV.

Ummm ... they said ^^ the novel is set in 1967.
It's possible they might change the date of the story setting some way to a current date if they make a movie & wants Bentley to sponsor it to promote their new cars though ...

The next film will resume 2 minutes after James Bond kills Mr. White. Supposedly the Algerian lover is the villain in this movie as he is seeking revenge for the death of Vesper. Production has already begun and since Ford still has 1 car left in their 3 car deal it will be this:

Next Bond car I heard was to be a Jaguar. Since Ford sold Aston Martin some time after the initial film debut of the DBS. Give Bond the M5 or new M3. Those cars have enough gadgets to make him giggle like a school girl.

Remeber the 750 he had? Pretty sweet. However, BMW doesn't need to fork over that kind of money to advertise their cars. They are already selling hotcakes. Jag needs help. Alot of it.

I should have said "those cars have enough gadgets to make him giggle like a school girl WITHOUT the missiles, camoflauge, ejecto seato, 1 million volt security system and telephone remote control". Jaguar does need help to promote thier vehicles, but can Ford really afford making copies of stunt cars. I know theres a chance where Bond might not even damage a car.
