Default The newest member of my family, 2008 E-class sport

First thing I did was remove the obnoxious dealer logo on the front grill...

Before:

After:

I also got the optional wood/leather steering wheel... Matches the interior nicely:

Outside shot of the 18" wheels... 245s up front, 265s in the back:

Yes, it's a lease... 3 years... The manual calls for oil changes every 13k miles (it comes with Mobil 1 from the factory)...

I will change the oil ONCE during the 3 years I own the car, at 15k miles... The car will probably be driven about 30k miles during the lease term, so when I turn it in it will be ready for its next oil change... Total cost of maintenance will be less than $50 for 3 years of Mercedes fun

Thanks...

Ya, I would probably have an MB as my daily driver (E63) if the navigation didn't suck so bad in the Mercedes... They really need to have a touch screen and DVD-changer like Lexus does... I've gotten use to having music videos and movies...

Fabulous, IMO, the best looking car in this class. The E-class is superb.

Thanks guys... And even though the nav is a POS, it's fully functional at all times with no hack required... Love the Germans!

Great buy but I hate to burst your bubble but the oil change for Mobil 1 will cost anywhere from $75.00-$109.00.

Ah, you are right, I didn't realize the # of quarts and that it needed 0w40... I priced it out, and it will cost me $90, labor included... Still cheap for 3 years of ownership... But your guess was right on the money!

Nice E

I think the E got stiffed this year (unlike previous years) with the sports package, it doesn't have the amg package right?

Yeah german nav sucks but at least it doesn't lock you out like lexus.

There are 2 sport packages this year for the 2008 E-class.

Zero cost sport package:
18" wheels, wider, staggered tires,
Blue tinted glass
Sport lower foglamps
White sport gauges with chrome trim
dual exhaust

AMG sport package ($2200) adds:
5-spoke AMG wheels
front and rear AMG ground effects

Ah, gotcha

I was wondering why it didn't have the amg package but still gave you the 18's and the dual exhaust.
Seems like hardly anyone around here opt for that, while there are tons of C and S class with the amg package.

Ya, the $0 sport package is great... Personally, I would never get the AMG package, only because it's borderline rice... Only if I actually had an AMG model would I want AMG parts

Oh, and many dealers put the AMG logo on the back of the cars with the AMG package!!!!

I thought all AMG packages will have an AMG emblem... hence you need to look for a "55 or 65" to know it's a real AMG.

Anyway, congrats on your new ride. Lovely interior colour!!
