View Full Version : Poll : If you are the last person alive, what will your car be?

So you are a Legend you are the last man alive. You have access to every car available in the world, all you got to do is walk into a dealership and take it :D You also have unlimited gas at your disposal, millions of gallons of gas are sitting at the station waiting for you to pump it.

So the question is what kind of cars will you be riding around in? Remember you are the only person around so all the roads all the free ways are clear as water.

Since there are way too many models to list, you can just pick a brand and list the models.

I'd get a tank, just to make sure I don't crash and die that easily. lol Although I'd say I'll commit suicide since there's no point in life anymore, but if I commit suicide, I'd think I'd like to die in a Lambo, want to see if I could find the Lamborghini "Canto" concept though.

Thats a good one, I didn't even think of a tank. While I am in the process of getting one I would look around and see what other secret stuff the military is hiding in there too. :D

Probably just end up going from 1 dealer to the next swapping cars, but thinking about the movie, Legend was using an AM frequency to transmit so cell phones don't work and I can't use my Nav on my cell, satellites don't work so no live Nav traffic, just whats preprogrammed into the cars but would that even work since most Nav units are linked to satellites to keep your position, and the all important is fuel stabilizer, gas goes bad, how long would the fuel in the tanks last, and the world is yours but are you really gonna leave the US an Venture across the ocean in a plane or boat:D

I'd hang out at the mall like Dawn of the Dead, stay in the city, most likely go bust down a door to a million dollar suite on 5th ave or something;)

More importantly what would you do to fill your time.

I'd want something easy to maintain, because I'd have to do everything myself. Subarus are easiest to do oil changes on because of oil filter and drain plug locations, and the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner has one of the least cluttered engine compartments.

First, i would steal a Cargo truck.
Then i would drive to the army base and hook up some Ammo & then put inside my cargo a Ferrari 599 gtb Fiorano & on top of the cargo a helicopter & a bed in the cargo and all those goody.
So if mutants want to mess with me i'll show em the "heat" & my escape plan would be the Ferarri or helicopter.

It would look something like this

But, you'll also get access to the best tools and garages available. Probably at a dealerships work bay including all the parts you need.

But, would there be any electric and hydraulic power for the tools and the lifts? :uh:

Remember, no one else is alive to run the power plants and generate electricity.

OK, so let's reconsider this thread. Pretend you are the last person on the Earth (all logic aside). There is obviously no other person alive, so who would have to impress? Since there is no one alive, there's probably not an economy which means you are probably broke. And no, the banks aren't full of cash. Without people power, would there be gas at the gas station? OK, FINE, hypothetically speaking, what ever car you choose will have a full tank. Considering that you're the last person, you probably don't have long to live/wont live much longer, but wouldn't you want to be able to atleast drive around for a while. Now I see everyone is getting "fast" cars. Stupid. Carrera GT will be on E in an hour, F1 Williams won't get started because you need other people to help, and a Nissan GT-R is all the way in Japan TwiBlue and you can't walk across water! So honestly, I'd get a GS Hybrid. Why? Why not? You can drive around for a loooooooong time and have fun when you want.

haha i'm so bored in oceanography. on the real, i'd probably get a MINI, because that's really the only car I've ever wanted, and after my RX there is no other car I will buy before I get a MINI. You're welcome for some entertainment!

Well, if you are the last person alive, you would then head to the nearest human frozen egg storage site...and like fertilize the egg, and then somehow clone that so that the human species wouldn't be extinct:uh:

Well, using your scenario (and I agree that fast sports cars are not the way to go), then why not just get a full plug-in electric to start with and not have to worry about gas at all? Even the hybrid version of the GS will only go maybe 400-500 and then need more gas. But, as long as you have electricity, you can drive and recharge a full electric to your heart's content.....the batteries will last a LONG time. No oil changes. No spark plugs. No transmission fluid, anti-freeze, or power steering-fluid changes. In fact, almost no real maintenence to speak of.

-1969 Dodge Daytona for Mondays (How could you have a case of the mondays driving that???)
-Bentley for Tuesdays(Keep it classy, haha)
-Jaguar XK140 for Wednesdays (relax a bit, the week is halfway over)
-Jeep Wrangler with the 6.1 Hemi (fast and fun!)
-Ferrari F430 for friday (Ferrari Friday!)
-1965 Dodge A-990 for saturday (to bring to the strip)
-1960 Cadillac Coupe Deville (Nice sunday driver)

Well, that's not one car. I have to be able to drive more than one!

True there probably won't be any electricty unless you manage to get the local powerplant running, or just install generators.

i'd prefer to take the question for face value, as the question of "what would you drive, money no object" has been posed many times.
in that situation, i'd go for a toyota land cruiser bj70 turbo diesel. there's no sense in having a supercar for driving around, exploring and trying to get away from bad things; i need reliability and go anywhere capability.
