2009 Hummer H3T revealed ahead of Chicago debut
Posted on Friday 25 January 2008

Hummer will be adding a new model to its lineup in the form of the H3T pickup, due to make its world debut at next month’s Chicago Auto Show. The new truck is based on the current entry-level H3 SUV, which means it will be available with the same 3.7L Atlas straight five engine as well as a 5.3L V8 engine in an Alpha version.

The engines deliver 242hp and 295hp, respectively, and both are offered with either five-speed manual or four-speed auto transmissions. The pickup should also feature the H3’s electronically-controlled dual-speed transfer case and electronic locking differential but we’re still waiting for official details from GM.

The new H3T is slightly longer than its conventional SUV cousin and unlike its concept version, which only had two doors, the new production model features a dual-cab cabin as well as a decent sized flatbed tray.

I'm pretty sure this is the first T version of a Hummer that has a real bed. The H2T has like... 6 inches of truck bed.

I thought you didn't trash GM.

Not a Hummer fan generally, but I think this one is more stylish...

Words cannont express how much I dislike these late-model hummers...They should have held these things exclusively to the military. Everytime I see a Hummer on 22's, I want to throw up.

I think this is the first time in over 2 thousand posts that I've posted something negative about another car...justifyingly so IMO...LoL

do you really think these hummer spinoffs have any true purpose other than a bunch of wannabes to drive it. Its a repaneled colorado. That interior is unbelievably bad. H1 is defiled from all of these spinoffs

Bring back the H1! That is the only Hummer that should be sold on the market.

Honestly they did should have asked people at Cadillac to do the interior.

So what? What 'true purpose' do most niche vehicles have? Almost all SUVs are never driven off road. Almost all true off road vehicles are never driven off road. Most sports cars are never driven beyond probably 1/4 of their capability. Most sedans go around occupied by one person.

Feel better now? I wouldn't want one either, but I've no problem with GM offering it.
