I am also truely dissapointed in this. The new RL simply doesn't have the presense a large luxury car should. If you look at Mercedes S class, BMW 7, Audi A8, Lexus LS.... you can just tell it's a real luxury car that means business. With the new RL's I'm just not getting that impression. That grill needs to go too.
Very dissapointing exterior, not liking the front or rear. This is not the new RL but a refresh until the new model arrives. The refresh is much more aggressive but it has lost it elegant understated upscale lines and looks more downscale and gaudy. The good news is the interior is a improvement of an already class leading interior. The cooled seats are very nice as well as the added wood and wood steering wheel, the RL has the nicest interior in its class and they put alot more technology into it. I don't know why they held the horsepower at 300 with the newer engine, they should have tuned it around 315 or 320. From what I am reading it seems that they put alot into it and heavily revised and tuned the suspension for a sportier ride and updated the SHAWD for more performance. Who knows, this new update may turn it into a much more of a drivers car. I will reserve judgement until I see it in person as with the last RL I did not really care for the exterior from the pics but when I see one especially in black and dark grey I really liked it. Same with the new Accord, did not like it from the pictures but when I saw it in person and in motion on the commercial I liked it much better. Hopefully the advertising will be much better on this new update to help them boost sales because the current RL was poorly marketed, they definitely need to focus on the interior and everything you get standard.
