Default 97' NSX what is it worth

I found one for sale for 30k bucks. It needs Timing belt, 2 CV boots and some brakes. It has 119k miles on it but it looks great. Is this a good deal?

Hard to tell. Being that it needs all that work it could be a reasonable price. Generally a 97 NSX-T with that many miles probably would sell for about $35K IMHO.

Hmm .. I believe that's a great price even with all that works needed.

I seen the 92's and 93's usually go for that much with the same mileage.

if it has a complete maintenance record, i think it's cheap. as wmb0000 said, early models go for around that sometimes.

I bought an 91' NSX a few years ago for 35k, mileage of 33k. That was a bargain.

But I say 30k for 97' NSX at 115k miles.... ermm.... it maybe reasonable price but I wouldn't buy it. The mileage is too high.

not bad... I seem 91 goes for 30K too.
All the work won't cost you arm and leg anyway.

I would pass on this high mileage 1997 car. For 30k, you can have an 06 C6 Vette with thousands of miles less on the clock. Heck, you can even bag a 2009 Evo or STI..

Is it red on tan with black wheels? That one sold for $29k at 105k mileage.

I don't want a vette. There are way more corvettes on the road. The NSX is all aluminum body, mid-engine and very limited production. All of which the corvette isn't.

This car was Yellow/Black. Not the same car. It is in very good shape on the outside.

If you get it in the 20's, you can't lose. Any POS NSX that isn't salvaged is over $20k.

These cars aren't even in the same league as the NSX. Have you ever looked at an NSX from underneath? The suspension is art!

I would say $30K would not be a bad deal as long as the car doesn't have additional skeletons in the closet. The 100K service should consist of T-belt, plugs, water pump, hoses, etc. Realistically, with replacing the axles, figure on dumping about $2500 into this car immediately.

The good news is that 100K miles on the NSX is nothing to worry about - it IS a Honda, after all. Our '94 hardtop has about 105K but was meticulously maintained (mechanically) by the previous owner. It did have a few cosmetic issues, which to me are easier to remedy since a good friend of mine owns a high-end body shop (Backyard Creations).

Great car, usable daily or even more special as a weekend fun car.

I have. It is not a bad car, but the mileage and price on the example the poster seeks I can't justify.. His money... The chassis & suspension of the C6 Vette is "art" as well. Have you seen that?

+1

C6 being a newer car also has newer technology
IMO, i would get more joy and bang for the buck from a lower mileage C6 over a 97 high mileage NSX

but if youve had ur eyes on the NSX for quite sometime and it is your goal then by all means, just make sure it has the usual...
the maintenance records, clean accident free records, title, and such

But then again... the NSX is rare, classic supercar.... The other day I saw a black Caddilac CTS driver crapping his pants when he saw the red NSX (early 90's) next to him. I saw his face and I thought it was funny, lol. yes, I was drooling too. I was in the outside lane and saw it.

Even though the Corvette is fast, it's "just a car", or "just a sports car".

The NSX is....... "Classic Supercar"... Big difference. You are paying extra for that classic-ness and for being rare car. I would hit it if it had 70k miles on it... yikes.
