its awesome to see how fast hes pulling away from the camera chase car at any speed
i wonder how many ft lb of torque the car has
probably like 500 ft lb at like 2rpm? lol

Electric motors have full torque potential at 0rpm. Literally instantaneous acceleration.

Yeah what Koma said. Instant torque. The Prius has 295lb-ft at 0rpm. How do you think the Prius manages 10.5 secs to 60 with a tiny 1.5 litre and a heavy 1,330kg curb weight? Stuff the 1.5 litre in the tC and see how long it takes

(The tC weighs almost the same as the Prius).

I mean the Tesla does 0-60 in what.. 3 point something secs?

Quick check of the site. The graph shows just over 200lb-ft from 0 to 6,100rpm. Peak hp comes in at 8,000rpm.

Hmm.. 125-130 lb-ft? What 4 cylinder engine were they using? Civic Si's? lol.

Valet Mode

When dropping off your Tesla Roadster at a hotel or restaurant, preventing joy rides is simple. Just tap on the on-board display to put the car into Valet Mode. Until you type in your PIN to release it, the security system limits the car‘s range, acceleration, and speed.

really nice car, the gas tank door at the top i assume is for hooking it up to charge? or maybe i saw it wrong.

looks like a really fun car i would like to have.
