Having driven all 10 of these cars myself, I can understand where C&D is coming from, and why they were chosen, although the choice of the Miata over the S2000 is an interesting one. Perhaps they felt that the Miata's lower price justified the HP difference, and the fact that with little low-end torque, the S2000 doesn't respond much below stratospheric RPM levels.
I can also agree with them on the V6 Malibu, but I disagree with their conclusion that the Malibu's 4-cylinder is quieter than the Accord's 4.

No love for Toyota or Lexus? If I remember correctly, the 5 speed manual SC300 was on this list every year it was produced. I think I agree with their list this year.

Maybe it's another list Im thinking of but I thought they only reviewed new cars or mildly redesigned cars
Geeze, from looking at the back row, the Honda Accord looks like the biggest car! I had no idea it was that big now.
Anything bigger than an Accord probably wouldn't be agile enough for C&D's tastes. And the new Accord, by today's standards, is a pretty good-sized car. It has gone from mid-sized to borderline full-sized, especially the sedan.
The Honda Fit is one choice I will never understand...especially when you can get a Camry LE or nice Corolla/Civic for the same price as one with normal options.
