Price is not a concern this time. Let me know who makes the best sports sedan by model and work your way down to number 5. Explain your reasoning if you have time.

If we're limited to only small(er) sedans, then there aren't a lot of cars to choose from. BMW M3 Mercedes C63 Audi RS4 Lexus IS-F Cadillac CTS-V SilverBull 04-29-08, 03:06 PM I am with you on that list. The IS-F just didn't do it for me when I drove the car. I flipped to German cars after that test drive. It just wasn't sporty enough for me. I like having a stick as well. whlkev 04-29-08, 03:11 PM 1) BMW M5 2) E63 AMG 3) Audi RS6 4) Maserati Quattroporte 5) BMW Alpina B7 these are the serious luxury sport sedan contenders, for smaller size, i would rather get the coupe counterparts than the sedan. rominl 04-29-08, 03:13 PM maserati quattro m5 e63 rs6 m3 SilverBull 04-29-08, 03:46 PM Do they still make the RS6? llamaboiz 04-29-08, 03:52 PM 1. M3 Sedan - is there a need to explain the M3? lol 2. RS6 (though i like the advant more), cant mess with a nice V10 family hauler 3. RS4 sedan - or a V8 :D 4. Cadillac CTS-V - i think its a sexy car, plus some brute power. 5. Jaguar XF-R - similar to the CTS-V but is a less boxy style. mmarshall 04-29-08, 06:32 PM If money is a factor: Subaru Legacy GT Subaru WRX/STI BMW 135i Mitsubishi Evo (smooth roads only) Pontiac G8 GT If money is not a factor: Mercedes E63 BMW 335i/M3 Audi RS6/S8 Lexus IS-F (smooth roads only) Infiniti M45 Sport IS350jet 04-29-08, 06:33 PM M5 C63 RS4 CTS-V RS6 No particular order. Huge, powerful, more torque than a train, screams "I HAVE ARRIVED". IS-F-Lexus first effort is a bulls eye. Not only do we get top performance but luxury, quality, reliablity, dealer service etc. Icing on the cake Porsche Panamera- not out yet but will embarrass what we THOUGHT was a sports sedan. Imagine a 911 sedan. If they build a GT model, omg! Alpina B7-claimed by Sports CAr International (my most trusted mag source) as the best handling large car ever. S/C power, room, rarity. Aston Martin Rapide-will arrive soon, concept looks so good, it doesn't matter how it drives Coco-bun 04-29-08, 09:55 PM here's my list. Mercedes Benz W124 E500 this to me, is perfection of a sport sedan. I truly think they are finally getting back to the quality that of the "cost no object" era. Audi B5 S4 twin turbo quattro with that perfect Audi feel down to the weight of the door when you open/close it. plus i love that size. Alfa Romeo 156GTA just drop dead gorgeous!! Alpina B7 i've never driven one but combined with Alpina and BMW's engineering, it has to be great. plus Alpina made the not so pretty E65 puurrdy. i'll kill to drive one. i dunno whats next...too many to choose from. I wanna way E39 M5...but dunno. TwiBlueG35 04-30-08, 02:46 AM 1. BMW M3 sedan 2. BMW 335i sedan 3. Lexus IS-F 4. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 5. The E and S class MB I always thought were Sedans more than sports sedan, just my opinion. Coco-bun 04-30-08, 10:50 AM The E and S class MB I always thought were Sedans more than sports sedan, just my opinion. my friend's AMG S65 is faster than his twin turbo Lotus. I think it could qualify as a sports sedan. whoster 04-30-08, 10:55 AM MB CLS63 AMG MB C63 AMG Lexus IS-F BMW M5...though I think I'd opt for a little tweaked 550i instead. Audi S6 (since the RS6 is yet to be available for the US market) I've always been drawn to bigger sedans for some reason. Sure I like the M3, the C63 and the RS4 and think they're great cars...but I've been a big fan big fast sedans ever since I was little. The Lexus is in there cuz if I had a choice, that's a car I might actually buy to own. 08mica 04-30-08, 11:05 AM In no order M5 E63 RS6 RS4 S8--Can't forget a car with a Lambo V10 What can I say, I'm a sucker for the Germans. |
