C&D Comparo: GT-R vs. GT2 vs. Viper ACR vs. Z06

Car and Driver Comparison Test:

Final Ranking:
1. Nissan GT-R
2. Porsche 911 GT2
3. Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR
4. Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Button Willow Raceway Park Track Ranking:
1. Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR (4 sec faster than GT2 & 6 sec faster than GT-R)
2. Porsche 911 GT2
3. Nissan GT-R

So the GT-R loses to an M3 last month and now it beats the GT2? C&D's rankings are ridiculous

Meh... The Viper makes the rest of these cars look silly. Its got more displacement thatn a GT-R and GT2 combined

GTR numbers seem kinda low.

It takes some mad skill to drive the ACR. This beast needs a true master to tame.

LOL, you should've seen me drive a regular Viper. I don't know how I didnt kill myself or anyone else, that thing is STUPID fast.

The GTR in this comparo won just like the M3 in the last comparo. Not on PERFORMANCE but on the first part of the rankings, things more related to family cars.

I stand by my assertion that C&D has lost its way.

C&D has *always* had the 3 series stuck up their a** and they've never been able to pull it out.
I can't believe the GT-R 1/4 mile time of 12.7! What happened, there?

track has a lot of straights, more advantage to high powered and lighter cars

Some on other forums say its california gas. Notice the GT2 and GTR both had TERRIBLE times relative to their other tests...inferior cali grade 91 would really hurt high boost cars.

if there is such a thing, the Viper is TOO MUCH of a race car and looks ugly+silly to me. Totally unusable on the street - to me anyway.

Not at all. The GT2 costs THREE TIMES AS MUCH. I love Porsches but that is ridiculous!
