For the money, i think this will definately be better than an A4 or IS. Except the interior has that dodgy silver plastic stuff you find on cheap computer parts.
Finally GM learned how to copy a japanese dash. Maybe tomorrow we will learn how to make reliable car.
The G35 is the only car that will even compete with the BMW 3 series in real performance and driving feel. acura TL is a FWD car. Not even in the same performance arena. I have owned 2 G35's and 1 acura TLS (wifes car). Dont get me wrong the tl is nice , but the G35 will kill it in the corners and in high end acceleration ( 100+). Remember that the G35 sedan is a 4 door 350Z. I do think that the acura is a better made car with sligtly better reliability in my experience
For the money, nothing is better than an Acura TL-S right now. Not even the G35S, which is a very close 2nd in my opinion.
Had both, would say the G35S would be hands down a winner over the TL-S for anyone wanting a sporting dynamic for their drive. The TL-S is a great cruiser on the highway etc, but the Infiniti blew it out of the water in almost any kind of measure for me personally.
That said, the CTS does look very nice, and might be worth considering. They get pricey, at least MSRP-wise, not sure what kind of promotions, discounts people are able to get on them now. If they made their AWD, Direct Injection V6, with FE3 suspension and 6 speed manual a possible combination, I'd definitely look into it. Almost like an S4/335i competitor
The G35s is still the king of the japanese sports sedans. Acura tl's are nice but would be nicer if the rear wheels were putting the power down. Why wont honda give us a rwd sports sedan. They give us either a fwd or a heavy *** awd . I do think that acura designed an amazing interior for the current gen TL. Its definetely above its class in interior quality, design, and fit and finish. Acurs put their money in the interior, infiniti put more of it into that sweet *** VQ and that seriously german feeling suspension.

1. I agree, I would like to see Honda build more RWD performance sedans. But, I have to give Honda credit for building the finest FWD chassis in the world.
2. Many enthusiast would prefer AWD over RWD.
3. IMO, the 286 HP engine in the TL-S is a much, much sweeter engine than the VQ. It may not have more power but it is certainly more refined.
4. The G is certainly an amazing handling car but the TL-S is no slouch either and competes quite well when compared to the G.
From what I have read yes it is actual double-stitched leather.
What's cool is that Cadillac has integrated a touchscreen into the pop-up nav, along with controller, unlike the C-Class.
My son's $50 "Leapster" educational game system has a touchscreen, so I'm not impressed when a car manufacurer has touchscreen on their $2000 nav system. The fact that some of the Germans still are not making touchscreen nav is an embarassment.

I think the G35 makes a good statement but far from holding the crown. G35 does not feel German, sorry. It drives very well though.

Anyways hot car. Definitely has the cool factor over the numerous IS/G/3ers on the road.
It looks nothing like one. Better to me.
CTS is a FINE effort from Caddy inside and out. To me the G35 and CTS are very related, being the cars to help turn around 2 brands, they both had odd exteriors with awful interiors but RWD the first gen and both 2nd gens are improvements.
The CTS can get pricey and the image of owning a Caddy here in Atlanta, sorry I can't do it. I still give it two thumbs up though.
The new CTS certainly is a big step forward for Caddy ( I reviewed two versions of it when it first debuted), especially in the interior trim, which was sorely lacking in the previous model. It still, though, despite more flashiness on the surface, has some of the same old GM plastic inside, but with a much better looking finish on it, that's all.
Only time will tell about the new model's reliability, though. The strength of the rear end/differential was a weak point in the old models, especially the CTS-V, with its higher torque putting more stress on it.
