Do you plan on buying another Lexus?

Mine is almost a year old and I'm interested
in the Hybrid RX 330 when it's released.

I like the yellow IS300 I got but the AWD GS330 next year will be a real temptation. So will the new Outback, Mustang, and GTO.

I'll have to go drive the Mustang before my hatred is conclusive and meaningful - but I would never buy one as a daily driver.

What a piece. :thumbdn:

The new Outback is NICE. And I'm not totally averse to the GTO either ... wait until they fix the exhaust.

Lexus of Albuquerque has been so ****ty to me and the local BMW dealership has been awesome with both my 325Ci and my ///M. I think when the lease is up on the IS, I'm paying it off and buying another BMW maybe a 2nd ///M or a 545i or something

Where you been, Duquette? :uh: Haven't seen you post much lately. Good to see you back. :)

Why pay off the IS at the end of the lease? If you don't want to keep it, just take it back, pay any closing costs or additional miles if you are over, clean it out, hand the keys back to them and that's it...you're free of it. It's their property once again.......and you've still got money in your pocket. Someone can follow in your BMW and pick you up there and that's it.
If you pay it off, then you got TWO problems. First, you've made an additional big dent in your bank account paying it off....money that can be used as a down paymnent for another Bimmer if you really want one. Second, if you pay off the IS after the lease, you OWN it......it becomes YOUR property and YOU then have the hassles of advertising and selling it yourself or losing money on a trade-in if you then want to get rid of it.
If you are going to buy another new BMW, I would strongly recommend the present 3-series before the new one comes out. I don't know your particular tastes....only you can decide that.......but I don't think you will like the Chris Bangle cars....for many reasons.
Anyhow, good luck shopping............let us know how it goes ;)

Actually, I plan to pay off the IS when the lease is up and keep it forever. I absolutely love the car, it's the dealer that is crap. Besides, right now it's 3 years old with just over 20k miles and is in near perfect condition. I can buy the car for $12k at the end of the lease, which I sincerely doubt I would be able to get another for that kind of price and this good of shape. The car payment and down payment on a new car will be no problem, so I will keep this car and love it for a long time, but until Albuquerque gets another dealership and Lexus builds something exciting, I doubt I will buy another Lexus.
As for the current 3-series, that is why I got my M3 now, there is pretty strong speculation that it won't be around for 2006, and the new model isn't nearly as attractive.

BTW, thanks to all who noticed I was a bit absent. I've been living in a 5th wheel for the last 4 months waiting for my house to get finished and haven't had much internet access. Now I'm all moved in and hooked up. I'll get some pictured of the house when the boxes are gone and some pictures of the new car up soon.

I don't need to buy another Lexus for a long while. My 2000 GS400 will last for many years to come. I only put 30K miles on it in 5 years so maybe I'll get another in 7 years or so. I still have some of the new car smell in it since I never drive it in the rain. Even after 5 years, the car still puts a grin on my face. :D

Although maybe in 4 or years or so we'll want something to replace our Honda Oddysey.

I'm not sure how long it well be until I get a new Lexus. I'll drive my LS400 until it is shot and no mechanic can do a thing with it. I know people who have Ls's with about 500,000 miles on them and still run like new. That's VERY impressive.
