LexPro 07-26-03, 12:33 PM to me it still looks great. but i like all kind of cars. LexPro 07-26-03, 12:34 PM another LexPro 07-26-03, 12:43 PM Yea there was this plastic storage cover that retracted but would come out. similar to our radio cover. Larry 07-26-03, 02:07 PM You sound a bit snobbish Gene. It may be a Lexus, but it's still a damn nice car. Larry 07-26-03, 02:08 PM insert the word "not" between "may" and "be". LexPro 07-26-03, 02:42 PM a targa or ttop version would be cool looking too ceboyd 07-26-03, 03:31 PM looks nice but i prefer the lines of the G35 coupe as well as the interior on the Infiniti version... I wish the convertible would go to Infiniti too... oh well.. Gojirra99 07-26-03, 03:45 PM I prefer the looks of the 350z convertible than its coupe version, but I agree that almost any rag-top looks horrid with its top up. Both the 350Z and the G35 coupe's interior leave a lot to be desired, otherwise they 're both great handling performance cars that match or exceed the European rivals that cost tens of thousands more. gs400998 07-26-03, 07:26 PM Originally posted by LexPro A white one just showed up at my dealership. From my office it looks awesome! Did the previous owner traded the Z for a SC430:) Doc C 07-27-03, 09:20 PM Lexpro, Thanks for the pics!! Can't you get the navigation system on that car and eliminate the cheap ass plastic door on the dash?? That is a beautiful car!! I heard that the passenger seat moves forward automatically when the top goes down (or up??) to keep from smacking the passenger on the head. I'm glad that's not an SC430 characteristic! Take care. Doc C LexPro 07-28-03, 06:51 AM One of the guys who works at our Nissan store just dropped by with it. It just arrived sat. and he put it into demo service. Not sure about the navi or the top going down action. I was working a few deals and didnt have alot of time however my internet guy took these photos so I could post them. rogers2 07-28-03, 09:59 AM Nice pic, you can't beat that price. Plus the 350 looks better LexPro 07-28-03, 11:19 AM This one with automatic was 38k. Seems cheap. TXSTYLE 07-28-03, 05:30 PM Originally posted by LexPro to me it still looks great. but i like all kind of cars. Most of us do LexPro. ;) But others just seem to not APPRECIATE "other cars..........no matter how sweet and/or innovative they may be! "It's All Good" I too have seen a Red one, and it is BEAUTIFUL! And the 'Bang For The Buck' factor as far as "Presence/Performance/Reliability" go is UNSURPASSED! TX JerseySC 07-28-03, 06:37 PM 350z roadster = minor leagues, AA ball...AAA ball at the most SC430 = major leagues...championship series SL500 = 100% majors...world series contender Davtown 07-29-03, 02:27 PM Originally posted by JerseySC 350z roadster = minor leagues, AA ball...AAA ball at the most SC430 = major leagues...championship series SL500 = 100% majors...world series contender where does that put the SL55 AMG? LexPro 07-29-03, 02:35 PM I guess that means that the SL55= Major League Player on Steroids! Roofless 07-29-03, 02:45 PM ... the Barry Bonds Mercedes 1SICKGOAT 07-30-03, 05:25 AM With the convertible Nissan, now you can see that HORRIBLE interior in all it's glory. I don't see nothing bang for the buck about a 35-40k Z? A 25-30k Z is bang for the buck. Nissan dealer service is worse than their reliability. At this rate, it will cost just as much as the outgoing 300ZX. without TT or Super Hicas steering and a great interior in a couple of years. The 350Z is a great car and when they are 15k in 2 years, it makes a GREAT 2nd car. dirtymarti 08-01-03, 10:41 AM looks like an audi tt. The z is awesome looking and because it doesn't say Lexus or MB or Audi (poop) then it must not be good. this site never seems to amaze me. :egads: Doc C 08-06-03, 09:38 AM ATLGS4, The 350Z is a great car. There is no question. Especially for the price. But, you claim the SC is overpriced. I think you mean overpriced for YOU. Every magazine article considers the SC to be an outstanding bargain. It absolutely belongs in the crowd in the Road and Track article. Does it deserve to win?? Who knows?? It performs equal to the SL in almost all statistical categories. It is built for a grand touring mission and not balls to the wall sporting. It does that as good as any car in the world. It is more expensive than a 350Z, but don't call it overpriced when comparing it to vehicles that it was meant to compete with. Doc C GlobeCLK 08-06-03, 10:20 AM the 350Z roadster looks great with the top down. With the top up it looks mighty ugly. They should make the top extend all the way to the end of the car, not round like a TT. :thumbdn: Remember the custom 350Z convertible someone did a few months back? That one looked great. Wonder if anyone kept those pics. ATLgs4 08-06-03, 10:23 AM Originally posted by Doc C ATLGS4, The 350Z is a great car. There is no question. Especially for the price. Doc C yeah youre right, its overpriced for me. anyway, its still ugly. and for those who think because a car is not a lexus, it is junk, the sc430 is defintiely no benz. the sl is boss! LexusPride 08-06-03, 10:35 AM If a $62K SC is overpriced, then what does that make the $87K SL ??!! They are almost identical in features and engine, and most consider the SC to use better materials and be a bit more luxurious. I won't even mention reliability  Imagine what you could do with the extra $25K while the other guy's sitting in the MB service dept. !! Marlow 08-06-03, 10:42 AM I just wish that they had put more effort into a turbo for the 350Z and left the drop top on the back burner. Kind of shows me what audience they are shooting for. dseag2 08-06-03, 10:49 AM What has happened to this forum? It used to be a great place to read about other owners' experiences with the cars and find out about mods, service issues, etc. Now it seems that every other thread I read is just about some hater taking pot shots at our car. :eek2: What is the attraction? If people like ATLgs4 think our car is so ugly, why not stick with the GS forum or Fresh Alloy? (Oh, maybe it's because someone in the GS forum said the 350Z looked like a toad taking a crap.) Anyway, I would never go to Fresh Alloy and rag on the G35 or 350Z because I know these owners love their cars. These guys need lives! Doc C 08-06-03, 12:08 PM dseag2, The toad taking a crap comment was hilarious!!! It's easy to pick on cars that are as great as the SC. When you're the best car manufacturer, everyone wants to pick on you. It's apparently not just us that think it's the best!! Ask JD Power and associates. Oh well!!! dseag2 08-06-03, 01:41 PM Well said, Gene. Both the CL and SL are stunning cars. If they were better built, I wouldn't have a problem shelling out the $$$ either. The article says... "The big problems with current models seem to center on the incredibly complex electronic systems -- including computer-controlled stability, traction and braking systems -- that underpin most Mercedes vehicles." I say... The Germans invent it. The Japanese perfect it.;) robertbtx 08-06-03, 02:27 PM I saw Bill O'Reilly interview Jerry Lewis last week and he had an interesting statement. I'll paraphrase: "If you climb the pole high enough, they're going to see your a**. Once they see it, they're going to take shots at it." dseag2 08-06-03, 02:52 PM That one's a keeper!! ATLgs4 08-06-03, 03:55 PM Originally posted by dseag2 What has happened to this forum? exactly my point. and you guys rag on bmw owners for the same stuff you guys are doing lately:rolleyes: GS4fun 08-06-03, 05:39 PM Looks pretty good. I'd pimp it. |
