Got a Daytona Blue '04 performance. MSRP $31500. Put $0 down, 5 yrs (60months) and payments are coming out too be $580. Should be coming in a couple of weeks. Must get rid of GS now. Can't wait too drive stick and sports coupe. Good bye GS hello Z
Seems Nissan/Infiniti is finding quite a few Lexus defectors these days. I put a deposit down on a G35 Coupe last weekend. I'm trading in my SC430! NO COMPARISON in the "luxury" category but the FUN FACTOR with the G is hard to ignore.
Noticed you have the Nakamichi system in your GS. Just be ready to put lots of $$$ into upgrading your sound system! Otherwise, enjoy!

Indeed, their designs are new and exciting. They are stealing way more Acura/Honda buyers. We'll see how their new cars hold up though. I thing about an exciting car, you overlook crappy interiors and quality cause your having so much fun.

Congrats 'bro. The Z is a great car and has a cool aerodynamic design. Are you getting the convertible or the hartop model?
I am opting for the coupe. I am getting custom made 2 tone leather and plan on installing a PS2, LCD monitor and redoing the sounds. i hope it works out well. I know i am taking a dip in luxury, but I had fun with the Lex and wanna get back too performance driving. Not too mention that the Daytona Blue is SICK!!!!!!!!!

I am sure you will have tons of fun. As far as reliability goes, Nissan are up there as far their engines and electrical systems go. Nothing to worry about. My wife has a 97 Maxima SE (the years when Nissan was bleeding and cutting corners), and it is very reliable. Quality is not as high as Lexus (but then you get what you pay for anway, so that is not a minus in my eyes). As far as reliability goes, the Max is screwed together very tightly - no rattles and squeaks from the dash or anywhere else in the car unlike my 99 GS400 that has occasional weird sounds that come from the dash whenever they feel like coming........... Go figure....
I'd be interested too in parts you might be selling, please update this thread when you have posted a new thread in the classified section, that way I check out what you're selling.
enjoy the Z. ive had mine for a year. ive had my 2000 gs400 for over 3 yrs now. if i had to let one go, it would be the Z. sure its a lot more fun, but when it come to an all around car, cant beat the GS.

IMO, only if one wants a manual transmission or 2-door coupe. In addition, few threads here that indicates Lexus owners have traded in their LS/GS for Q45/M45.
Congrats on your purchase!!! You are going ot have a blast with it. The anticipation must be killing you. I know you did a lot of research, that new car bug is tough once it gets into your system.
